Information for Applicant For Travel Certificate
- A Travel Certificate is usually issued to a Ghanaian national who is not in possession of a Passport but must travel to Ghana at short notice or in an emergency.
- The document is valid for three(3) months and for a single journey to Ghana only. It automatically expires on arrival at a point of entry in Ghana and cannot be used for a return journey to India.
- The Consular Section receives applications for Travel Certificates during its normal working hours.
- All applicants are required to produce proof of Ghanaian Nationality such as photocopy of passport, original Birth Certificate or Baptismal Certificate, etc.
- Applicants are required to personally visit the Ghana High Commission on appointment to be interviewed by Consular officers, with your passport or copy of your passport.
- Applicants must submit a completed Travel Certificate Application Form, two (2) recent passport photographs, and evidence of impending travel.
- A processing fee of INR 3,500 is charged for this service.
- When officers are satisfied with the reason for the application request, a form will be provided to fill to provide personal details . The travel certificate will be issued within three (3) working days.
